IRS/State Representation – Taxpayers Located Outside of California

As an Enrolled Agent, I am authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS throughout the United States. My authority to practice before the IRS is federal, which means I can assist clients regardless of where they live.  As a side point, I am authorized to represent taxpayers before all state tax agencies because of my federal license.

Many people assume they need a tax professional located in their state or nearby, but IRS tax matters are generally handled through federal procedures that do not require in-person meetings. Much of the process can be completed through secure document sharing, phone conferences, and communication with the IRS on your behalf.

I assist taxpayers with IRS matters such as:

  • IRS audits and appeals
  • Back taxes and delinquent tax returns
  • IRS collection issues
  • Installment agreements
  • Offers in Compromise
  • Penalty relief requests
  • Wage levies and other collection actions

Whether you live in California or another state, my goal is the same: to understand your situation, explain your options clearly, and provide experienced representation to help resolve your tax issues.

My experience as a former Associate Chief of Appeals with the IRS provides valuable insight into how the IRS reviews and evaluates tax matters. Combined with my experience as an Enrolled Agent representing taxpayers, I bring a perspective that helps me effectively advocate for clients throughout the country, as well as internationally.

If you have an IRS tax problem, location should not prevent you from getting experienced help. Contact me for a confidential consultation to discuss your situation and learn how I can assist you.
